• Single reduction
  Types SR and SRT single reduction speed reducers are available in 11 different sizes with standard ratios in the range of 1.5:1 to 9.5:1 and are capable of transmitting a torque in excess of 1,000,000 inch pounds.



• Double Reduction
  Types DR and DRT double reduction units are made in 10 different sizes with ratios ranging from 9:1 to 60:1. These reducers can transmit torques up to 1,400,000 inch pounds and above. Inspection port is provided to facilitate gear examination without dismantling the casing.



• Triple Reduction
  Types TR and TRT triple reduction speed reducers are available in 10 sizes with the input and output shafts in the same horizontal plane. Ratios from 30:1 to 323:1 are available in this series with torque capacities ranging up to 1,850,000 inch pounds.

Herringbone Gears Result in Balanced Design

Herringbone gears and pinions contribute to the dependability, efficiency, and long life of Dominion parallel shaft speed reducers. This "balanced design" eliminates internally caused axial thrust loads and allows uniform load distribution over the shaft bearings. It allows the use of identical shaft bearings and reduces the stresses on housings and covers.

• Type SR and SRT
  Single Reduction
  All gearing is heat treated for best combination of wear resistance and strength. High helix angles give maximum gear tooth overlap.



• Type DR and DRT
  Double Reduction
  Herringbone gears have teeth cut on gear generators designed specifically for cutting herringbone teeth to ensure maximum accuracy of helix angle.



• Type TR and TRT
  Triple Reduction
  Gearing cut after hardening to ensure maximum accuracy. Floating shaft arrangement ensures full-face contact and even loading of gear teeth.
